Thomas G. Harris Scholar Gives Back

Luke Easterwood and his new wife Katherine have started their own scholarship grant at Armuchee High School, which they are calling “The Quill Grant.” It is a creative writing award that was given out this year for the first time. Luke and Katherine plan on growing the fund over the next few years. Luke says that the help he received from the Thomas G. Harris scholarship program inspired him to pay that generosity forward. “I am proud to be from Armuchee and plan on being involved in the community as must as possible,” he says.

Luke earned his BA in Writing and Linguistics in Information Technology & Information Systems from Georgia Southern in just three years. He graduated from University of Washington at 22 years old with a Master of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering. Luke currently works for Apple.
