The Duane Ackerman Family Scholarship provides financial aid to select graduates of Plant City High School in Plant City, Florida. The scholarships are awarded to recipients based on their financial need, high school academic and extra-curricular achievements, personal character and work ethic, likelihood of collegiate success, and potential long-term individual contribution to the welfare of the communities in which they ultimately reside. 

This year, recipients of the Duane Ackerman Family Scholarship are Adrianna Gianino and Mario Leon. Both students will attend the University of South Florida in the Fall. Mr. Duane Ackerman presented the Scholarship awards to Adrianna and Mario at the Plant City High School awards night.
