Remembering VJS Mentor: Pam McAllister

Pamela (Pam) Blume McAllister, 74, passed away peacefully in her Sandy Springs home on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She had been fighting a brave battle with cancer since April 2014.

Pam was an incredibly kindhearted person, who was devoted to her family and friends. She had a positive outlook on life, and lived it to the fullest.

For more than 15 years, Pam served as a mentor to recipients of the Vera Jackson Scholarship. She had a wonderful relationship with these students, instilling in them the importance of gaining educational and career experience.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pam’s family and friends at this time. She will be dearly missed. We are so grateful for the impact she made on the Vera Jackson Scholarship Program, and will always remember her for her compassion for others, love of travel, sense of humor, and the ability to see and bring out the best in everyone.
