Vera Jackson Scholarship Program Issues Awards to Three New Students

The Vera Jackson Scholarship Program is pleased to announce the 2023-24 scholarship recipients. This year, three high school seniors across Fannin, Lumpkin, and Towns counties in northeast Georgia were awarded scholarships.

Gracey Greene of Fannin County, Rayona Sims of Lumpkin County, and Jayden Taylor of Towns County were each awarded the Vera Jackson Scholarship to assist with the costs of room and board expenses at each recipient’s chosen Georgia college or university. Each of these students was selected for their demonstrated academic achievement, character and likelihood for collegiate success.

This fall, Gracey Greene will attend the University of North Georgia where she plans to study Kinesiology or Sonography. Rayona Sims will attend Dalton State College to study Nursing. Jayden Taylor will attend Toccoa Falls College and plans to study PT/OT.
